Our client is among the world`s leading manufacturers of original and replacement precision soft tooling for CNC punch press machines. Roughly 400 employees in the U.S., Canada, Germany, China, Belgium and Malaysia manufacture and sell high level tooling with an excellent record in terms of quality, price, delivery and service, usually offering customized tool delivery within 48h to 72 hours worldwide. Distribution channels range from framework contracts with OEM machine builders, direct sales processes to large OEM and global external manufacturers, to a wide range and variety of international distributor/dealer sales networks.

Position
As part of its international expansion strategy this sheet metal fabrication manufacturer is currently seeking to hire a Sales Manager Eastern Europe (m/f), based in a central location within Central- or Eastern Europe (e.g. Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the Baltic countries or Russia). In this challenging position you will be responsible for all sales activities in the region, like finding, managing and regularly evaluating dealers and distributors (about 90% of the time), working with existing (and adding new) and OEM agreements, technical marketing in the region, and developing new direct customers like contract manufacturers or large key accounts. This position is also responsible for sales in Israel.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of International Sales at headquarters, this versatile position will be both highly technical and commercial, allowing and asking for a high degree of autonomous action and drive. Being in charge of the annual growth rates of 10 – 20%, the task will require work out of a home office with roughly 60-70% international travel.

Qualification
In order to succeed in this exciting position you should have a technical education with commercial experience and a track record in dealer management as well as direct technical sales of perishables (5 years minimum). A background in metal fabrication and tooling, punch press, or sheet metal manufacturing is required.

As a person you are tough-minded, target driven and ambitious in your sales approach with an excellent ability to establish and maintain customer relations. You should be outgoing, a good listener, with a positive and service minded attitude and extensive experience in Eastern Europe. You are experienced working independently in an international environment involving frequent travel.

Apart from fluency in English you should have fluency in Russian. German language skills would be helpful.
